Nail gun to attach ...

sheer clamp? Any body ever do this? I know it is not very traditional but I was curious if there are any problem associated with this. The set depth of my gun is adjustable and consistent. The holes can be filled and will be covered by a run strip. The boat hull is going to be painted. Deck will be bright.
