PVC Clamps

If the objective is to save an expensive visit the the local clamp store, then you can make PVC clamps, as detailed in the link. You can re-use these clamps later for the cockpit coaming. Make them narrow enough that you can open them to the desired gap by hand. To get more pressure, use more of them. You can use different sizes of PVC pipe, too.
