Congratulations to Jim B. of Cedarville, MI, winner of the most recent CLC Photo Contest with this joyous image of his great-grandkids getting a great start on long, happy lives on the water in their Wood Ducklings. Jim wins the big prize, a $150 CLC gift card.
There were a lot of wonderful photos in the batch we collected through the end of September and competition was stiff. Coming in at second in the rankings was a shot of their exquisite Rhode Runner runabout at the prestigious Antique and Classic Boat Show in Hessel, Michigan, from Kim and Tony F. of Lake Orion, MI. Noted Kim, "We had the boat judged and won second place in the outboard category - with a brand new 2023 handmade boat - against all of those beautiful Chris Crafts." Kim, we think it's easy to see why the judges gave your beauty a nod. Congratulations to you, too!
Close behind in third was this pretty scene of his handsome new Oxford Shell II at an historic aqueduct site on the Schoharie River in upstate New York from Jerome A. of Schenectady.
Additional shots that caught our eyes included another image of kids having fun on the water. The young man's grin says it all in Matthew G.'s happy view of his son with the family's new microBootlegger tandem kayak.
We also enjoyed Christine Y.'s views of her Expedition Wherry in action on the water at the WoodenBoat School in Brooklin, Maine, including this foggy morning view.
