sanding epoxy

Posted by Garagegirl on Apr 27, 2004

I put my first coat of epoxy on my deck last fall, and temps here are beginning to allow more coats. I can hold my garage between 60-70 degrees. It says to lightly sand between coats before applying epoxy if its sat for a time, and just wanted to know how most of you lightly sanded it. My brother says I'm to delicate with sanding. He says I sand like I'm petting a horse!, I think it means 120 to take off the bumps and outgassing and allow for the next coat to take hold. My weave is on top yet, so rob sanding would sand into the glass. Hand sand the deck and wash and re-coat? Any suggestions? GG
