Hull glass questiong

Planning to paint - will the fiberglass smooth out and even out any imperfections left in the not-so-perfect sanding job I did? THere are a few flat islands of epoxy + flour that I didn't sand down to absolute flatness - thinking the fiberglass will even stuff out. Or do I need to go for glass-smooth sanding before the fiberglass is on?
