Northeaster dory stand up paddle
A fun thing I've found to do with my dory is to stand up behind the bow thwart and paddle using a stand up paddle, it's great for maneuvering in tight spots and great for sight fishing

Totally agree. I use use a long, cheap kayak paddle and find it works well. One of the best things about the NE Dory is the ability to stand and be stable. I even like to stand for brief periods of time while I sail -- almost like being on a sailboard again.
