Short on provided cloth to cover hull bottom with one piece
My plan this morning was to glass the hull bottom of my PMD. I jumped ahead previously and have built the centerboard trunk already, so perhaps in doing so I find that my remaining cloth is about 3 feet short to cover with one continuous piece.
Should I get more fiberglass or try and patch from discarded edges. If the latter, do I overlap them at all?

Follow up: I overlapped, and it will be fine.

Hi KenDor,
On occassion, i have found myself in a similar situation.
i have typically taken the piece i have and used it to maximize the possible coverage and minimize the missing piece....and then just filled in the missing piece with a patch with the fewest pieces possible.
i have had no issues with this approach. it just takes some additional sanding to fare it in so you don't see the seam with the patch.
i tend not to like to waste material and unless i was working on something very special, don't think the difference would ever be detected. boats are routinely repaired without glassing the entire boat.....so i don't think you have anything to worry about.
