Skerry - to primer hull or not to primer hull
I see two contradictory instructions in the Skerry manual and the online finishing tips. The instruction in the manual is to first paint the hull with a hi-build primer. The contradictory instruction is to never apply primer below the waterline. Instead, the finish coat directly to the epoxy. Which is correct? Do I not need primer at all if the hull will be painted and the interior varnished?

It's a tricky path. The sure bet is no primer below the waterline.
Less sure is the topsides. Can you achieve a smooth, clean epoxy surface to paint? Or do you need high build primer to smooth the hull?
Go from there, the paint will adhere to properly prepared epoxy.
