I am planning to build a northeaster dory and live in the NC area. The deal with the other half is that I have to be able to sell the boats I build.
I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with trying to sale the boats they have made and if so, was their real interest or just a lot of people looking.
If I dump a couple thousand into building a quality boat, I'd like to make some money off of it and just need to know if the market is our there.
Thanks for any help,
Chris

RE: How well do dory's sell?
So the profit is the joy of making it, like my other boats were. I guess as long as I can get my investment back...
Thanks

Hey Chris, the NE dory seems to be pretty easy to sell. As for making money off it, as noted by a frequent contributor, you can probably make tens of dollars.
Good luck
