Since no one else responded. I have tried to do what you asked about. I carved minicell seat bottoms and built backs padded with mincell. I used webbing and buckles to hook the backs into the boat. It has worked well for the back seat, not so good for the front. The front back got sat on when getting in the boat and the screws holding the back pulled out. I either need to make up brackets with multiple screws or glue in a piece of hardwood. I am working on the hull again so am unable to take pictures.
