Ain't THAT the truth? I see you drive a 4WD too... oof!
When rigging, remember that you add significant weight with hardware, so the more screws, nuts, washers, etc., you can live without, the lighter you remain. I know I've gone from a 36-pound boat to a 41 pounder after rigging (Cormorant). Ouch, that hurt!
On my latest boat, I eliminated padeyes (loops) altogether, and ran the bungees through undersized holes in the deck instead, knotting them off to anchor 'em. They seal very well.
She's a *beautiful* boat, Joey! Great work with the veneer!! What other mods did you make to it?
