I carved a couple of seats for my tandem. After the first outing I asked my kayaking partner how the seat felt. The response was that she just realized that 'her' seat never bothered her on the trip so the kayak seat must have been great. Can't ask for much better than that.

It also adds that extra 'everything is handmade' look to the cockpit.
