Carved Seats Vs others

I'd be interested to hear from someone who takes their kayak on multi day trips as to the comfort of foam sets Vs some of the complete seats you can buy in the shops. I am building a double and I look at my "happy bottom" peice of foam and must admit - comfort on a 3-4 day paddle is not what springs to mind when I look at this. I am considering some complete seats that you just drop in from my local kayak shop - they run at about $100 Canadian each. Anyone shed any light on whether they are worth it??
