Re: Another MC16.5 questi

Hi, it's been 5 years since I built my MC 16.5 so it's hard to remember construction details. I built my boat from a kit when it was a brand new design and I'm pretty sure the issue you are talking about the toughest part for me. I think I ended up making a 3rd radius gage someplace between 24" and 30" that I cut from a 2 x 6 and used with a strap as a clamp to hold the deck seam flat while the epoxy set. i put 2 x 6 on top of deck and a webbing strap under the hull and looped on each end of the 2 x 6. I think I also used another pair of clamps to hold the inner cockpit edge of the deck up to the bottom of the 2 x 6 radius gauge. I can't remember for sure if I adjusted the angle on the top of the hanging knee's but I know that I at least thought about doing that as well. Looking at the boat in this area it looks like there is a small bit of a lump here but not really noticable by a casual observer looking at the boat overall.
