End Pour vs dam method
Posted by Chris on Sep 26, 2006
Reading through recent message chains, there seems to be a new way to do end pours in a Chesapeake 17(dam method). I'm finally getting back to finishing my kayak after a 3 year break due to work. I am at the stage of washing the blush off the hull after the glass and first coat of epoxy went on three years ago. The deck hasn't been epoxied yet but it's sanded. When I get to it, how can I do the end pours so I don't start it on fire as the epoxy cures in such a large quantity? My retailer says East epoxy doesn't have a slow cure hardener.
