RE: Done!
I've been working on it since October. I haven't kept track of hours, but i suspect in dog years it's a really long time. I spent many moons sanding, epoxying and sanding again.
RE: Done!
Great looking job--nice boat. So what are you going to do with all that spare time now that it is done? Have plans for another yet?---CZ
RE: Done!
Gotta paddle, of course. Into the Hudson today. After I get the garden turned over and planted. My wife is eyeing the Shearwater 16, so that may be the next project. And she likes this deck design...
Is this a Shearwater? There are no hatches. How difficult is that curved strip?
RE: Done!
Thanks. Since I didn't use the supplied toggles I had the stainless hardware left over. I used the bungie hold downs with a wooden hook that I carved from a piece of maple. I just drilled one hole thru the hatch cover and made a grab loop out of some extra strapping. I also put a small loop on the underside of the cover that I attached some light cord to as a tether.
