Anyone have suggestions for sealing the hole in the kayak to mount the mast on a sail rig? I am thinking of some kind of rubber boot to seal around 1 1/2" mast to keep the water out of the cockpit in heavy water.
Even a breathable fabric like Sunbrella or heavy canvas would work. It only has to keep from wicking the water all the way through before it runs off the deck. There may be a few drops coming through, but you'll get more than that through your spray skirt.
