Epoxy mixing

Hi, just started working on my wood duck 12 and have a general epoxy mixing question/issue.

I have worked with epoxy before and have never had this issue.

Just mixed a small batch and have yet to see it kick off.  The pumps are installed correctly on their respective bottles and meter out the correct ratio.

No joy.

Would appreciate some feedback.

PS temp is about 75

RE: Epoxy mixing

You did not say what epoxy and hardener you are using. The Mas with slow hardener that was supplied with my kit took about 45 minutes to kick most days. Shop temps varied around 60 to 70. The West with medium hardener I used after running out of Mas kicked around 25 minutes.

RE: Epoxy mixing

I would back up your pumps with a scale just to check.

RE: Epoxy mixing

Mkcagle - yes, it is Mas. Last little test batch was still soft after 45min though consistency was more thick and less like syrup.

Happy Hooker - I will try that too.

Also, heat output was nowhere near what I expected.

Thank you!
