glassing the daggerboard slot?
In the instructions for the Eastport Pram, it has you fiberglass both the inside and outside of the hull, and then cut the slot for the Daggerboard. There is no mention of sealing the exposed plywood grain in this newly cut area which would leave that open to water intrusion and delamination.
Solutions?? Should I cut the slot before glassing making sure to oversize it by a fraction and then glass it in conjunction with the bottom the hull? Or, should I glass as instructed and then just heavily epoxy coat the slot after it is cut?

The Passagemaker is the same way. You apply epoxy to the exposed/cut area to seal things up. Just paint some on.
