Alternatively, instead of using toilet paper to blot it up, you can use a squeegee to scrape it off and/or redistribute it to dry spots. I'm sure that when it works the toilet paper method works well, but if the epoxy is close to kicking there's a good chance of a nasty sanding job in the future. Full-sized boats don't mind the pressure of a squeegee the way model aircraft do.
There's also less of a disposal problem afterwards.
And nobody will steal the squeegee because there's none in the house :-)
