bow bulkhead location

I am building a west river 18. I am not tall, and would like to make the volume of the cockpit smaller and bow storage bigger, by moving the the bulk head closer to my feet. I guess I can make a new bulkhead 3 that will fit about 12" or so closer to my feet.

I want to know 2 things.

Could this be a problem for the structure of the boat ?

To figure out the ideal location for bulkhead 3, I need to know the distance between builkhead 2 and the back band ?
