Most of the seam would not be an issue. Just the last few feet at each and where they lay vertically. Be hard to line up but you could shim the stem ends with a scrap of your 4mm. The sides should be able to be stitched in place ok then. There is a lot of adjustment in position possible. If you bevel, at a 45, the top half of each mating edge it will help them stay in place. Be one beefy boat!
