After reading your I recalled seeing the shop tip and I've just re-read it. That reading answered my questions.

The kits haven't arrived yet so I've got some time before this isn't a critical path item, but it is fun to think about.

I'll have to think about how to scribe a line evenly on the side of the hull. This idea came to me as I was looking at the paint job on Southwest jet engine on my flight this week (taken as I flew from Annapolis after ordering my kits .. I had the good luck to have the opportunity to visit CLC before making my kit decision). The strip I wish to place is intended to evoke thoughts of a wave.
