Yes I agree it appears that I did not get aggressive enough based on my results. I did not want to get into the glass in fear of having to install a patch work of glass in the spot. But as you indicate the glass on the deck is not as critical as that along the chines and keel and thus leaving it bare should not be an issue.

I am amazed that this contaminant is soo repulsive to the epoxy. I wonder if putting a second coat will cover it?

By the way, I noticed that the foam brushes I have been getting from Home Depot, state that they are not intended for varnish or glue. These are the black brushes with the wooden handles. I don't think they have anything to do with this problem but curious what the issue is that they make that statement.
