Mike,

As much as Kurt proposes squeegees, I have learned to propose carbide bladed scrapers. Those little squeegee lines are the perfect target for the scraper - and you will save a bunch of sandpaper and dust. You also don't have to wait until the epoxy has cured hard - in fact you can go at it as soon as the epoxy doesn't stick to the blade.

You remember the satisfaction you got from the long curliques from your scarey sharp plane when you shaped the sheers? Sort of the same thing from the scraper.
