Fineline tape and paint??

Getting close to painting the hull and was wondering how long to let the paint cure before I tape it to begin varnishing the deck?

I can't remember how long I waited on my wife'WR16, guess the fumes are getting to me. But I don't remember having any paint come up with the tape. I'm just wondering if I should wait a couple of days or more? Thanks. Rick.
