Lee,

For a first timer, who will really scrape up a paddle learning to get into and out of his first kayak (at 60 yrs old and 250 lbs) would a sacrificial Grey Owl Dragonfly be a good starting point before moving up to a Tempest?

I'd like to start and keep to relatively the same shape, so that I won't have to relearn after an upgrade.
