If you can still feel it, I'd put another partial coat of epoxy on just the bad parts. do a light sand first to take off the high points, as just adding coats will follow the contours of the weave adding the same thickness of epoxy to both low and high points and you'll go on like that forever, (did that, got the t-shirt). If you can just see it but not feel it, give it the spit test, If it dispapears when you wet it, you're good to go, even under varnish it disappears never mind paint, but you'll definitely see it if you can feel it.
