that's roughly how the Arctic Hawk deck goes on. Was there any problem putting the coaming on without the solid deck beam holding the curve? How did the spreader stick hold on when the deck was bent on?
After the Cape Charles more footroom was desired so the hull was made deeper with a higher deck beam for better shin and foot clearances. Except the consequences for hull volume were significant, it's a very big hull. If an Lt version could be made without an intruding deck beam that would be one more thing to improving the design for the paddler,,or folks that like to do butt first entries at the shore.
