Which primer/paint to use

I am fast approaching the point where I need to figure out how I'm going to prime and paint my Skerry.

CLC sells Interlux Pre-Kote as a primer and Brightsides for paint. Obviously, there are many choices, so for the sake of arguement, let's stick with Interlux. Aside from 1-part vs. 2-part, what are other factors to consider when choosing to use either a Pre-Kote/Brightsides or a Barrier Kote/Interthane Plus combination?
