glue globs in cockpit
Posted by Jim Stillman on Sep 10, 2006
Perhaps this is in an earlier thread, but I am working on my first 17' sea kayak, which was built during Kayak Camp. I've spent a fair amount of time sanding the glue globs in the cockpit which resulted from squeeze-out while gluing up the cockpit coaming. Since it was impossible to clean up the globs with 20 clamps around the coaming, I wonder if it would make sense to put waxed paper in the cockpit under the coaming, so once the clamps were removed, the waxed paper and resulting squeeze-out could be easily removed?
