shearwater build question
Posted by David on Mar 20, 2008
My shearwater build is coming along nicely. I have just rejoined, filleted, and taped the deck to the hull.
My question is in regards to the narrow ends. I do realize that the end pour will add great strength to the end. I did manage to unroll epoxy soaked tape leaving an approximately a 12" section of no tape or filet at the end. Is this gap a problem. I seem to remember other builders use a syringe on a stick to force thickened epoxy into this area.
Is this necessary?
