Re: Sanders

As a finisher by trade, I use tons of sanding equipment. I used to use a lot of Porter-Cable but the last few times I bought them, I immediately took them back as they had started becoming both excessively noisy and highly vibrative right out of the box. Klingspor makes a decent and affordable abrasive product...H&L will eat you up expense wise. Down side to using PSA (sticky) discs is that most sanders come equiped for H&L and not every manufacturer has a PSA attachment readily available. I have found DeWalt random orbits give me good service and you can put the PSA pad off a Porter-Cable on the DeWalt. The P-C pads are readily availble.
