Double Deck Rigging

Hi all. getting close to done now. Up to installing the deck rigging. My kit book says page one of the plans has the deck rigging. It has pics of the hatch rigging but not for bungees. Am I missing something?

1. Does anyone have any comments on whats good and whats bad in terms of bungee rigging patterns? Any pics on how others have rigged would be good.

2. When I put screws into the wood to hold hatch straps and bungee im chewing into fresh wood. Have other people taken the drill, fill drill approach here - or is that overkill?
