How much left over epoxy?

How much left-over epoxy should there be?

I am building a MC16.5 and have started glassing the deck. The supply of the resins seems to be a bit low, about 1" for the 1 part and 2" for the 2 part, from the bottom.

Is this an indication that I might have used too much for various things, like thick coats, wide fillers, too much waste (most likely).

I still have to add some more additional coats to fill in the weave, and then glue the coaming, the hatch covers, and seats.

Getting more isn't a problem, but just curious as to how much of left over stuff I'm suppose to have? Also, I have two containers of wood flour and haven't opened the second one yet.
