The through-bolt works well as described.

My inclination is to just drill a hole in the bow transom just above the forward seat, pass the painter through the hole, and tie a knot. KISS-principle painter installation.

The Pram tows well. By the way: we're in the process of adding "Gunnel Guard" to our store. This is the nice white-canvas-covered bumper material you see on good dinghies. Nothing worse than a dinghy bumping the side of the mothership all night long. We have it in stock now, though it's not in the secure online store yet.
