David, I used the tip of a sharp razor knife to pick out bristles before the epoxy was cured. If you eye-ball along the recently coated finish, bristles stick out like a sore thumb.

For those you miss that get fully cured into the epoxy, follow Tony and Mac's advice.

Less epoxy...less weight you have to manhandle to a roof rack.
