what to get

Got a gift card to West Marine from "Santa". Since I have yet to launch I have no real idea as to what kind of proper apparell to get. I figure the $25.US ought to get me some neoprene booties or a start on some other gear. I live in CA where I can see snow on the mountain (once or twice a year) but rarely get serious frost. Mostly man made lakes and rivers near the SF Bay to paddle in. RogerJ
