Wilke, gudgeons can be bent from 1/8" X 1" brass strap. The strap is usually sold in 12" lengths at hobby and some hardware stores. I bent mine over a piece of steel rod to a diameter that would allow me to use bushings for the rudder rod. The bushing is not necessary but allows a larger radius bend in the brass and for me made it easier to match the stern of my canoe. Sorry they are not installed yet so no pic's. Extra glass can be added under the strap, mine is internal as decision was made before decking. RogerJ
