Before you buy new pumps, try this: put a clean receptacle under the pump, then mash it like a SOB. With any luck at all, the pump will eventually hack up a hairball and then resume working like advertised. Remove the coagulated crud from the receptacle and pour the good stuff back into the jug.
BTW, might wanna do the mashing thing outside, as when it finally spits up, it REALLY spits!
I have done this many times, and still use my original pumps bought back in '96.
