A simple answer from an even simpler mind. Hell no. Take it out and enjoy it all you like, although I will say it's most convenient to leave the sanding 'til *after* you return to the shop.

As long as all the wood is protected (read: waterproofed) with epoxy, you're good to go. The rest is for appearance only. Yes, even the UV protection, as long as you don't let it go TOO far...
