Live With THIS, Doc...

Posted by Kurt Maurer on Jun 14, 2004

Mac, tell ya what: sciatica -- and prescriptions such as that given you by your doc -- is such a common thing that I'm betting you can discover some really useful information on the internet. Have you tried searching for this kind of thing? Lemme know if you have trouble, and I'll sic Leslie on it.

In the meantime, the 6" tall articulating back band seen in the photo below has surprised the hell out of me by being just perfect for my hot rod Cormorant! But then...

...I notice that most people in kayaks like to lean back in a most leisurely fashion. Well, why not? Paddling is a pretty leisurely past time, after all. But it has become my opinion that leaning back is a losing proposition, although I managed a pretty darn comfortable Lay-Z-Boy in my Mill Creek 13 by using my old Seattle Sports seat made for sit-on-top yaks in concert with a carved minicell bucket. See a photo of my MC13 cockpit in the next post...

Cheers, Kurt
