I would most definitely fill two holes per side, and use only two screws per foot brace, i.e. the holes at the ends of the brace profile. The side panel is slightly curved and the foot brace profile is straight, so you want to make the two meet only at the end points. Plus, you'll want to be able to move the footpads freely... -- Niels
PS. BTW, I can strongly the CLC footbrace mounting kit, if you plan on building again.
