Mounting Rudder Footbrace

Has anyone tried to use the CLC footbrace mounting gizmos with the sliding tracks for a rudder.

It looks like I would have to do some annoying modifications to my feathercraft rudder stuff to make those CLC studs work. The track is clearly designed to hold a hex nut and get receive a machine screw from outside the hull. That will be tricky with the CLC studs.

Has anyone tried anything? Otherwise, I'm going with the plywood and T-nut rig from somewhere back in this forum.
