That helps, but my boat will not have enough power to reach that speed, even with an electric trolling motor.

However, I read somewhere that, if you build a tall enough tower in your backyard, and climb to the top of it, you will have enough speed, due to the rotation of the earth and the mechanical advantage due to the height, that you can go into orbit by simply setting your kayak down in mid-air, climbing in, and pushing off.
