Yeah, those hybrids are fascinating to me as a gearhead. But fuel economy, no, that seems to be somewhat of a public misconception. They are not there yet. I read an article that calculated you will save just enough in gas during the life of the batteries to pay to replace them, at $3,000 or $3,500, after only 100,000 miles. Also, the EPA's fuel economy methodology is wildly inaccurate for hybrids, see this month's Motor Trend.

But, I digress...back to dreaming about launching my boat. I am holding the target month firm, at August. But the target year has slipped slightly.

I love the instructions on filleting...it says, "be sure to allow a good two hours for this step". Kurt, did you write this section for them, or what? In three hours, last night, I managed to do one taped fillet, out of the twenty or so taped or untaped in the Sharpie :-)

I do love it though, and as someone said, the journey's half the fun.
