Hull Paint Finish
Posted by Mac on Apr 27, 2004
Hi Folks,
I've just finished my last coat of hull paint - 2 part poly rolled on with white foam roller over 2 part poly primer. The color is midnight blue and as such, is very reflective. I now realise that the very shiny finish will show every fingerprint, smudge etc. (I can see my face in it - and that's not a good thing!)
I've also seen a number of display boats which have very glossey varnished decks with what appear to be satin or matte finished hulls.
In your collective and vast experience, is there a finish which can be applied over this poly to cut the glare.
Thanks
Best
