I bought a used 4 cyl, 5 speed Accord, added a $100 JC Whitney trailer hitch and one of the 2 kayak trailers from the CLC website. I only have to lift the kayaks (CH17 and MC16.5) to knee height and I can still put my Thule box on top of the car.
