If there is a "trick" to this I would say that it really helps to have the epoxy/hardener at 70 degrees or a bit higher - mix the unthickened well and then "blend" in the carb-o-sil or wood filler (or both) in small segments. Use a strip of wood (or spatula) to ensure that you clean and mix in the contents on the sides and bottom of your container - mix until it looks even and you should be set to go -- and of course -- Do small batches!!!
