Upcoming Saturday Classes - Stay Tuned!

Join veteran CLC boatbuilders/instructors for comprehensive, hands-on technical seminars in our well-equipped classroom workshop here in Annapolis. These popular Saturday classes occur in our Annapolis classroom and typically run for 3 to 4 hours.

Introduction to Epoxy Class - Date TBD

Learn the essentials of working with marine epoxy. Have you wanted to build a boat, but lack of experience in working with epoxy and fiberglass is holding you back? In this class you'll learn epoxy safety, fillet techniques, applying fiberglass tape over fillets, fiberglassing over wood, fill-coating fiberglass, rail lamination, and how to install a breasthook.

Hands-On Finishing Class - Date TBD

Learn the essentials of painting & varnishing. Do you want to learn how to finish your stitch-and-glue boat or strip-built kayak like the pros? In this class, you'll learn how to prepare your CLC boat's surface properly and how to apply paint and varnish effectively.

Build Your Own Greenland Paddle - Date TBD

In this class, students will learn how their paddle blank began as a few strips of wood. Then, students will shape their own paddle with most supplies and tools provided by CLC. Pick up a block plane and give it a go!

Small Boat Rigging - Date TBD

Small boat rigging is a big subject, but John Harris will cover the range of small boat rigs. Students will learn rigging basics and some useful tricks, no matter what sort of rig is on your small sailboat.
